Ring in the New Year with the Young Friends of Union Station at the Station’s all-new signature event, "Next Stop: 2008," when - for one night only - Union Station will take on an upscale, cocktail club atmosphere. To get the party started right, your first three drinks are on the house and you’ll enjoy a generous buffet of free appetizers. You’ll dance all night long to music from the House DJ and live entertainment from the KC ALL STARS, the city’s best party and dance band. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the night, including two tickets to any Southwest Airlines destination and waterfall diamond earrings from Tivol with a four-figure price tag. When the clock strikes Midnight, you’ll be blown away as we ring in the New Year with a complementary champagne toast and a special surprise like nothing you’ve seen before!
An Advisory Board of 25 dedicated community volunteers are organizing this party with a purpose; all proceeds from the event benefit the general operating fund for Union Station Kansas City. Additional leadership and volunteer opportunities are available with the Young Friends of Union Station throughout the year in the way of Committees for Event Planning, and support of the organization itself.
This year’s event is exclusively for guests 21 and older. Valid ID required at the door. Avoid the lines and pick up your tickets at the Information Booth in Union Station’s Grand Hall between 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM on December 31, 2007. Otherwise, guests are encouraged to arrive at the following times: VIP – 7:00 PM, Reserved Table Seating - 7:30 PM and GA – 8:00 PM.
