Ancient Israel – Ancient Skies
The story of Israel, the Dead Sea Scrolls and how they live with us to this day will be told in a unique and original planetarium show. Why is the Dead Sea in modern Israel one of the most unusual places on Earth? How did the scribes who wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls use the Sun and stars to guide their lives? Ancient Israel – Ancient Skies, will take you on a 4,000 year journey to discover answers to these intriguing questions. From the story of Creation, to a trip to the Dead Sea, and a tour of modern Israel, visitors will be immersed in this ancient land. Ancient Israel – Ancient Skies will only be available at the Gottlieb Planetarium at Union Station. Come discover mysteries buried in the desert and held in the stars.

Mystery of the Nile
For the first time ever, explorers have successfully navigated the entire Nile River from source to sea, and you are invited along for the ride. Join the team, lead by Pasquale Scaturro and Gordon Brown, on their four month, 3,260 mile journey overcoming crocodiles, sandstorms, malaria, and armed militia men. You'll feel as though you are riding dangerous rapids with them as they travel across three countries to study this magical river.

Enjoy a daily lunch or dinner buffet featuring salads, soups and Mediterranean-style dishes. The buffet is available 11 a.m. t o 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Or you may order off the menu choosing from Italian and Mediterranean items. The restaurant is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday. The restaurant will be open on Mondays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning March 12.
