Dental Health Day

FREE with Science City admission!
Make your smile a healthy one! Join us at Science City to help develop healthy oral hygiene and habits through fun and play! On Saturday, February 13 we will have tons of great activities focusing on the importance and awareness of good oral hygiene and oral health habits.
Check out all of the cool things you can do!
Get a FREE dental screening, including tooth varnishing and tooth prints. Provided by UMKC dental students.*
Learn about good nutrition and mouth care from friendly puppets.
Meet the Tooth Fairy and make your own tooth box.

Take a photo with Major Molar.
Join in on puzzles, games and hands on fun.
Get your face painted. (additional charge)
Plus, see real dental equipment, tools and photos from Union Station’s historic collection. Items on display are from Dr. Otto Riemenschnitter, a small town Missouri dentist. This display is FREE and open to the public daily outside the Science City entrance.

Each child must design and draw his/her own poster. The design may be presented in any medium the child wishes.
Entries are to be mailed to:
Science City at Union Station

OR dropped off at the USKC Information Booth, Attn: Marianne Ross, Education Dept.
Entries must be received no later than 2/1/10.
Winners will be chosen for First, Second, Third and Honorable Mention for each grade level. All winners will have their poster on display inside Science City and first place winners will also be given a 4-pack of tickets to Science City’s Dental Health Day.
