Little learners can play with shadow hand puppets, make their own cloud and clothespin rainbow, and take home a pipe cleaner crystal rainbow project.

10 am – 4:30 pm LEGO Pull Back Cars
Location: Engineerium
Design your own pull back LEGO car, and see how different designs compare to each other as you run them down the track.

10 am – 4:30 pm What is Color?
Location: Periodic Table
Mix colored water and create new colors using various scientific equipment. Then use a hydrophobic surface to mix colors even further to create a work of art that can be taken home!

10 am – 4:30 pm UV Go-Glow Bead Fidget
Location: Maker Studio
Use 3D printed UV beads of various shapes – ghosts, bolts, flowers, and stars – to create a palm-sized fidget ring. The beads react to light and are vividly color changing in hues of blue and pink!

10 am – 4:30 pm Red Light Green Light Paddles
Location: Creative Corner
Create your very own Red Light Green Light paddle and play a game with your friends and family. You’ll be able to customize your paddle in various ways, and you can take it home with you!

12:30 & 3 pm Animal Care, or “How Nature-Works Works”
Location: Nature Works “Patio”
Learn about two types of animal colors. Camouflage is how animals use color to hide from predator and prey. Warning colors help tell predators that animals are toxic, or trick predators into thinking they are toxic.

10 am – 12 pm Donutology
Location: Periodic Table
Come visit Donutology in Periodic Table. Learn how donuts are made as you decorate and eat your own creation.

12 & 12:30 pm Stargaze Jr.

Bring your little stargazers and join our planetarium educators for a one-of-a-kind edition of our interactive star tour, made specially for early learners! Included for free with admission to KidFEST!
