250 high school students show off innovative ideas in Project Lead the Way

April 16, 2014

Union Station recently hosted a Senior Showcase where 250 high school seniors showcased their STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) talents as part of Project Lead the Way. As future innovators, these students are exploring STEM concepts to make the world a better place. Projects ranged from wireless computer charges to engineering prototypes and bio-medical research. “I think being a geek nowadays, you’re either frowned upon or people just love it, they love being around people that are smart, they love being around each other,”  one participant told Kansas City's FOX 4 news team, who covered the event.
